The Shemperor Group is a social justice-centered consulting firm grounded in tackling social, political, and systemic inequities. Founded by Shavani Hurry, our work bridges movements and institutions through strategy, policy development, and values-driven campaign implementation.With a background in housing justice advocacy in Newark, NJ—an underrepresented, low-income community—and a career as a Political Science professor in New York City, Shavani brings eight years of deep expertise in systems thinking, social justice analysis, and community-rooted engagement. Her work spans the intersections of civic power, public policy, and structural change—anchored in the belief that equity isn’t a trend, it’s a mandate.We partner with global political campaigns, coalitions, nonprofits, and power-building efforts to develop strategy, craft local and state laws, and drive impact in every engagement. As a woman-led firm grounded in lived experience and academic depth, we reflect the values we help others build toward.
